Mrs. Tedeschi

It is a pleasure to be teaching at Altoona Central Catholic Middle School.  I have been teaching music for over 30 years within various settings, including Catholic high school, private school, public school, and private studios.  In addition to teaching music I am a member of the Blair Concert Chorale, and have served as choral director for several church choirs, as well as performing as a vocal soloist, and wedding recitalist.  My research area involves the psychology of music.  My current interests include continuing my doctoral studies in the field of curriculum and instruction, concentrating in the area of musical stimuli, response, and the senses.  I am an active member of PMEA and enjoy accompanying students as they participate in PMEA festivals and activities.  At ACCS students have the opportunity to participate in County Chorus (8th grade) and SongFest (5th grade). In addition, I am pleased to be offering ACCS students the opportunity to study musical instruments including (but not limited to) piano, voice, guitar, violin, clarinet, and percussion.  My family and I live in Altoona, PA.  In addition to my musical interests I enjoy cycling, camping, sewing, arts and crafts, and interacting with our pets Daisy (a jack russell terrier), Jerry Lee (a german shepherd), Bootsie and Duchess (our adopted cats).  "Enjoy the Music"~~~~~NMT
